Este estudio ofrece resultados muy distintos a los realizados anteriormente.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ciberbullying.com\/cyberbullying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/universidad-queensland-estudio-ciberbullying-adolescentes-ni\u00f1as-ni\u00f1os-ciberacoso-ciberhostigamiento.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-835\" title=\"El estudio de la Universidad de Queensland ofrece resultados sorprendentes\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ciberbullying.com\/cyberbullying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/universidad-queensland-estudio-ciberbullying-adolescentes-ni\u00f1as-ni\u00f1os-ciberacoso-ciberhostigamiento.png\" alt=\"universidad-queensland-estudio-ciberbullying-adolescentes-ni\u00f1as-ni\u00f1os-ciberacoso-ciberhostigamiento\" width=\"600\" height=\"384\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Un estudio de la <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uq.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Universidad de Queensland<\/a><\/strong> entre m\u00e1s de 156 ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os que hab\u00edan sufrido bullying tanto f\u00edsico como cibern\u00e9tico, desvel\u00f3 que<strong> la juventud a\u00fan teme m\u00e1s la intimidaci\u00f3n &#8216;cara a cara&#8217; que el\u00a0acoso producido a trav\u00e9s de Internet<\/strong>. La profesora\u00a0\u00a0Marilyn Campbell, principal impulsora de la investigaci\u00f3n, reconoci\u00f3 su sorpresa por los resultados, ya que hab\u00eda asumido que el ciberbullying figuraba como principal preocupaci\u00f3n de las y los j\u00f3venes, tal y como hab\u00edan apuntado anteriores investigaciones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Su alta prevalencia, la gravedad de sus consecuencias y las dificultades para la prevenci\u00f3n e intervenci\u00f3n han hecho del <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLC186BF9FE0418ED2\" target=\"_blank\">ciberbullying <\/a><\/strong>el principal azote digital de ni\u00f1os, ni\u00f1as y adolescentes. La inmediatez, facilidad y disponibilidad para causar da\u00f1o, la potencia de Internet, la dificultad de desarrollar la empat\u00eda en el entorno digital\u2026 son algunos de los factores que hacen que <strong>el ciberacoso entre iguales se haya convertido en el problema m\u00e1s relevante que afecta a la infancia y la adolescencia online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Sin embargo, estudiantes entrevistados por la\u00a0de la profesora Campbell <strong>aseguraron conocer los m\u00e9todos para bloquear a los ciberacosadores:<\/strong> \u00aben Internet\u00a0puedes apagar el ordenador o puedes bloquear\u00a0a quien te acosa,\u00a0pero cuando un grupo de ni\u00f1os han conseguido rodearte contra el pared en el patio de recreo, es cuando no se puede escapar\u00bb.\u00a0<strong>De los encuestados, el 59% dijo bullying cara a cara era peor, el 26%\u00a0dijo que ambas formas son igualmente da\u00f1inas y el 15% consider\u00f3 el ciberbullying\u00a0peor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Un estudio que choca directamente\u00a0con el realizado hace unos meses por la<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aap.org\/en-us\/Pages\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"> Academia Americana de Pediatr\u00eda<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0donde se hac\u00eda\u00a0hincapi\u00e9 en los riesgos para la salud de los adolescentes que genera el\u00a0acoso escolar, destacando especialmente los elementos potencialmente agravantes que tiene el acoso cibern\u00e9tico o ciberbullying. E<strong>l anonimato de Internet permite a los acosadores contenerse menos, por lo\u00a0que es dif\u00edcil para la v\u00edctima para obtener un respiro.<\/strong> Seg\u00fan aquel informe, las y los adolescentes que era v\u00edctimas\u00a0cinberbullying sufr\u00edan mucho m\u00e1s por culpa del acoso prolongado,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A la misma conclusi\u00f3n llegaron los integrantes del grupo<a href=\"http:\/\/www.taylorandfrancis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong> Taylor &amp;\u00a0Francis<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>, que realizaron\u00a0un estudio basado en\u00a0m\u00e1s de mil comentarios alojados\u00a0en un post del blog de la famosa\u00a0cantante y compositora Amanda Palmer. La entrada estaba relacionada con el suicidio de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6yIhGau0qXg\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Amanda Todd<\/strong>,<\/a> <strong>una joven de 15 a\u00f1os de edad\u00a0sometida a un constante maltrato psicol\u00f3gico por sus compa\u00f1eros,<\/strong> hasta el punto de quitarse la vida fruto de la desesperaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Palmer tambi\u00e9n fue\u00a0v\u00edctima de ciberbullying \u00a0en su juventud y decidi\u00f3 contar sus experiencas\u00a0para concienciar a sus seguidores.\u00a0La investigaci\u00f3n mostr\u00f3 que <strong>la principal raz\u00f3n para iniciar el abuso\u00a0era el aspecto f\u00edsico,<\/strong> seguido por la orientaci\u00f3n sexual y la participaci\u00f3n en los intereses no convencionales. \u00a0Los investigadores concluyeron\u00a0que el cyberbullying tiene sus ra\u00edces en el acoso tradicional, pero con una\u00a0dificultad mayor para escapar de los torturadores e identificarlos, hasta el punto de convertirse en el modo de acoso<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Tras las entrevistas, la profesora Campbell aboga por \u00abatender a todos los tipos de acoso\u00bb, ya que muchas ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os no diferencian entre uno y otro, ya que Internet es parte de su vida.
